Sites like Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr they should be grateful for us teenagers. For without us, they are nothing. Teenagers. We are the blood which thrives through the veins of these "household websites". Without teenagers, young adults, Mark Zuckerberg would be nothing but a nobody, Harvard graduate. ( and the other guy who created twitter. But honestly who cares about him? He's not the one with a blockbuster movie about him.) There is truly one main reason we post on Facebook and Twitter, the secret that really isn't, here it is people----we all want to make our lives prettier than they truly are. There I said it. It isn't pretty but it's true. It applies to a lot of things. Saying something smart to let everyone know what a smartass you are or post pictures of your day out with friends to prove that you have a life. Or liking some athlete or band or book to let everyone know that you are knowledgable. Or even answering a quiz that categorize you into a group like "care free" or " the rebel" because obviously we teenagers do love to portray ourselves into stereotypes. To make ourselves into a one sided person without any dimensions, only capable of experiencing certain types of emotions. But I don't believe in stereotypes. I don't think a person can really just be one thing. Everyone has different layers, regardless how thick or thin. More or less. We all have layers and we shed them when we want to when we are safe and warm in the trust that is very hard to give.
The thing is, I don't think you can take one look at someone and say "Oh, he's a happy-go-lucky person." or "Oh, she's a ah Lian/minarep(it's Malay, I don't know how to spell it. )." These observations, they are only a layer. No one is truly what they seem to be. No one is truly one way. We are not machines. This applies to everyone Please, look beyond the skin, look beyond the first layer, because you really might spot something you never thought was there. Just remember that.
